Boy Scout Annual Pancake Breakfast On Sunday, February 8 between 8:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. the Boy Scouts will prepare and serve a pancake breakfast in the Rotunda to celebrate Scout Sunday. All profits from the breakfast will go towards the purchase of camping equipment and financial support for families needing assistance to send their son to summer Scout camp. Cost is $5 per person, children under 5 are free. You may purchase your tickets ahead of time by visiting the Scouts’ table in the Rotunda TODAY from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. or from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Bethune-Cookman Concert Chorale Evening Concert For the first time at St. Luke’s, Bethune-Cookman University Concert Chorale will treat the community to a free evening concert. For many years St. Lukers have come to enjoy hearing the Chorale during worship on one special Sunday. This year, instead of leading worship the Chorale will perform a free two-hour concert on Thursday, March 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The concert is free but you must R.S.V.P. at st.lukes.org/bethunecookman.

GROW SUNDAY MORNING PROGRAMMING FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH: Children: Children preschool through grade 4 will follow the Miracles of Jesus. Stop by the Welcome Window in Building B on Sunday mornings for room assignments. Special Needs: Children with special needs can learn in an environment designed with them in mind. We offer a one-on-one Special Needs Sunday Programming class from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. THE MCKEEFERY SEMINARY SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Are you considering a church related profession? If so, you may be interested in financial assistance from the McKeefery Seminary Scholarship Fund. Scholarship awards will be used to pay for tuition, fees and books, and will be paid directly to the seminary in the recipient’s name. MORNING EDITION: A new study on Philip Yancey's, "The Jesus I Never Knew" starts on Wednesday, February 18 at 8:00 a.m. in the Building C Office Conference Room. Open to all. WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER: The menu for February 4 includes chicken parmesan, baked ziti, broccoli, salad, garlic bread, dessert, and drink. Cost is $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children over 5, and $3.00 for children under 5. There is a $20.00 family max. SERVE Within the Community TODAY IS SERVE SUNDAY: Every first Sunday of the month, Missions highlights both local and global ministries in the Rotunda. Winter Garden Habitat Construction: Enjoy the beautiful weather and help construct our two Habitat Homes. Work days this week are Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (including lunch). Workers must be at least 16 years old. Call the Habitat Hotline for updates on the construction schedule including changes due to weather or inspections (407.876.4991 ext. *344). Current work includes the layout, raising and bracing of trusses at 493 Bethune Avenue. Family Promise: Family Promise partners with local churches to provide housing for homeless families while they stabilize their lives. St. Luke’s will host four families the week of February 15 to February 22. Help these families feel at home by volunteering as evening and overnight hosts. Circles Campaign: This ministry is continually expanding. Come to the Rotunda and learn about what’s happening in this ministry and how can help. COALITION MEAL MINISTRY: Need community service hours? Do you want to serve with family/friends? On Saturday, February 21, St. Luke’s is preparing dinner for the Coalition for the Homeless. We need 5 bakers from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s main kitchen in Building C; 10 cooks from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the shelter and 5 servers from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the shelter. Donate gently used items to Goodwill at one of two convenient locations: on campus in the blue bin by Fellowship Hall or at the Dr. Phillips Marketplace by Stein Mart. Goodwill in turn provides free vouchers to St. Luke’s that assist many of our Orlando ministries. DONATE BLOOD TODAY TO SAVE A LIFE: There will be a Big Red Bus in the front parking lot and in the back parking lot at St. Luke’s TODAY from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. When you donate blood you will get a FREE movie ticket and a free wellness checkup. People with O-, O+, B- and A- blood types are especially encouraged to donate. Remember that a photo ID is required. DO YOU ENJOY MAKING NEW FRIENDS?: Do you attend the 11:00 a.m. contemporary worship service? Consider being an usher! Ushers serve one Sunday a month to welcome the congregation, collect the offering and help to facilitate worship. CHILDREN IN GRADES 3 THROUGH 7: Serve in traditional worship as Acolytes or Crucifers. This is a great way for children to grow in their faith and their responsibility! HELP WITH WORSHIP: Volunteer once a month for weekly setup/tear down of the flooring and chairs. Team captains and coordinators are also needed to assist with scheduling teams. SET DESIGN: These teams will work with the Worship Design Team to help bring the sermon series theme to life in our worship venues. BASS AND GUITAR PLAYERS: Has God blessed you with the gifts to play your instrument in worship? VIDEO TEAMS: Teams will be responsible for taping and editing the 9:30 a.m. services for both worship venues and uploading to the website. ASSIST WITH WORSHIP SLIDES AT 11:00: Advance the slides during re•define, Contemporary Worship service. Training is provided. SANCTUARY CHOIR: If you love to sing, minister and just have a lot of fun, join us in the choir room (Building B Room 209) any Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The choir sings every Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. CHILDCARE VOLUNTEERS: Did you know that we spend over $40,000 per year on paid childcare workers? To help keep this a free support ministry we need more volunteers on Sunday mornings and during weekly hours. Contact children@st.lukes.org to volunteer. THURSDAY MORNINGS: Join us in Building A Room 201 on Thursday mornings between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. as we start prepping for Vacation Bible School.
