Lenten Offering Supports New Initiatives Over the years St. Luke’s Lenten Offering has allowed our congregation to launch new initiatives like providing medication for a year-long health clinic in Jamaica extending our reach beyond a once a year service. This year our "something new" is United Methodist Micro-Finance (umcmicrofinance.org) The United Methodist Church is partnering with the Foundation for International Community Assistance (FINCA) to make accessibility to financial services a reality in low-income communities where there are Methodist churches already sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. We encourage you to give up $1.00 or $2.00 a day or set a household or small group challenge as part of your Lenten spiritual practice and give toward this goal. Be sure to mark it for Lenten Offering.
