GROW The Parables of Jesus Jesus’ Parables are engaging stories that share spiritual truths in a relatable way. Attention 2016 High School Graduates Seniors and families celebrate Graduation Sunday, June 5, in the 11:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship service with a cake reception at 12:00 p.m. in the Rotunda of Building C. Youth Ministries will lead Contemporary Worship through music and will serve as greeters, ushers, and communion servers. If you would like to participate, please indicate that when you register. Children’s Ministries Stop by the Welcome Window on the first floor of Building B on Sunday mornings for information and room assignments. Our adventures will study how the disciples went out to start the early church. Elementary aged children will worship with their families on May 29 and June 5.

SERVE You are invited to the OCPS 4th Grade Math Bee Date: Tuesday, May 24 Time: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Where: Ron Blocker Educational Leadership Center 445 W. Amelia Street Orlando, FL 32801 In partnership with St. Luke's Educational IMPACT ministry, Orange County Public Schools will host a math bee for fourth grade students. The goal of the Math Bee is to create excitement about math and pursuing STEM-related careers (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) at underperforming schools. After the first successful Math Bee in 2011, this annual event has expanded to ten schools in 2016. Math bees are held in each 4th grade classroom, leading to a school final and county championship. Students receive t-shirts, medals, trophies, and gift cards for their efforts. Top prize for the county championship is $1000 to be used towards a college fund. Jobs Partnership Jobs Partnership transforms the lives of people who are chronically underemployed by empowering, encouraging, and elevating workplace attitudes and abilities. The spring 2016 class will graduate on Monday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando downtown, all are invited to attend. Email serve@st.lukes.org for details.

Circles® Ministry June 7 You are invited to observe our next Circles Big View Meeting, 6:40 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at West Orange Church of Christ (1450 Daniels Road, Winter Garden). The purpose of Big View meetings is to identify and work to solve systemic barriers within the community that prevent individuals from moving out of poverty.
