MINISTRY GUIDE • SEPTEMBER 27, 2015 OUR PURPOSE

“Building the Kingdom by Building Disciples”

OUR CORE VALUES

At our center is the love of Jesus Christ. We value Christ Centered: Acceptance • Hospitality • Community • Discipleship • Service

WORSHIP Today's Worship During this series we are diving into Philippians, John Wesley’s works as well as research conducted in positive psychology at Harvard. Each week there will be an action to begin to center ourselves in the spiritual disciplines of practicing joy, gratitude and kindness. Each element of happiness we encounter will give us a chance to retrain our brain and rewire our hearts to consider looking at the world through eyes of joy and hope. Pick up your copy of the "Elements of Happiness" study guide outside of either worship venue. Visit st.lukes.org/happiness to download a copy and find a study group. Continue the discussion by picking up a free "Elements of Happiness" jar full of conversation starter questions. Use the questions around the dinner table, in the car, or at the office. St. Luke's Happiness Journals are also available to help you collect your thoughts. Journals can be purchased for $5.00 in the Rotunda of Building C or in the church office.
