”Come, Ye Thankful People, Come”.....................#694

*Opening Prayer Passing the Peace and Welcome Witness in Music New Sermon Series begins November 30 “Come Home for Christmas” There is a saying…"all roads lead home at Christmas." Often in this fast paced, always changing life we either don't make it home for Christmas or our definition of "home" is constantly in flux. But there are some traditions about Christmas that remind us of what home can be. Whether it's movies we used to watch, candles, lights or maybe a fireplace, each of us have memories that remind of Christmas. These memories remind us of something deeper in our lives – a time of peace, hope, joy, or love. This Advent season as we prepare for Christ why not join us in worship and prepare to bring home to your heart these gifts from God. Make room for Christ to come home again in your heart, your family, your life.

Join us!

UNEWS Regarding Generosity Weekly Challenges As we use Andy Stanley’s book How to Be Rich you will be presented with the weekly challenges listed below. These challenges will not only help you grow in your spiritual journey but will also help close the gap in our 2014 giving shortfall in the budget. Discover how you are rich in ways you have not even considered. Complete the Commitment Card you will receive in worship and let us know how you are experiencing the joy of giving.

WEEK ONE CHALLENGE: Do something!

There are over 500 people who attend and participate in the ministries of St. Luke’s but give nothing. Thank you to the 138 St. Lukers who met the challenge and committed to giving $10 or more per week. Of this group, 11 are first-time givers.

WEEK TWO CHALLENGE: Increase current giving by 10% through end of 2014!

If everyone increased their giving by this amount we would have no financial challenges. Thank you to the 161 St. Lukers who committed to increase their current giving by 10% through the end of 2014.

WEEK THREE CHALLENGE: Give through online giving!

Currently there are 298 households giving online. This benefits the ministries of St. Luke’s by establishing consistent giving patterns. Your gifts are received even when you have to miss worship. Thank you to the 101 St. Lukers who committed to online giving. Do you have questions about the St. Luke's budget, giving, or other items? If so, send them to Kelly Smith, Executive Director of Operations, at ksmith@st.lukes.org and you will receive a response as quickly as possible. We will also be posting answers to general questions on our website for all to take advantage of the information. If you have the questions others do too.
