Advent is the season when we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. Advent always begins four Sundays before Christmas Day. This year St. Luke’s has put together a list of ways you can Worship, Connect, Grow, and Serve during the season. WORSHIP Join us for one of our Christmas Eve Services. December 23 - Christmas Preeve Service Times: 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. (These services are intended for church members and allow more room for visitors on Christmas Eve.) Connect BETHLEHEM’S GIFT FREE CHRISTMAS CONCERT: Tickets are available TODAY in the Rotunda of Building C for St. Luke’s annual Christmas concert. Performance dates and times are Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The concerts will feature the combined choirs of St. Luke's and Solid Rock United Methodist Churches along with the gospel choir, children's choir, dance ensemble, praise team and orchestra. Tickets are free but must be picked up in advance. Due to popular demand tickets cannot be reserved for pick up at a later date. There is a 10 ticket limit per person. Within Our Community PRAYERS FOR BELFAST TEAM: A team of 16 people are currently in Belfast, Northern Ireland and will return on November 30. Please keep Pastor Jenn in your prayers as she preaches at East Belfast Mission today as well as the team and our mission partners. At Skainos the team will learn best practices for community transformation and at Forthspring Intercommunity Group they will hear about the reconciliation work along the peace line. EAST WINTER GARDEN CONNECTIONS: The Community Transformation Team has identified great ways for individuals and families to get connected and involved in East Winter Garden without any required training. One of those ways is through the West Orange Orlando Magic Recreation Center. Please bring items to the church office by Sunday, December 10 and label “ATTN: Carol Crowley.” Christmas Carolers are also needed to sing and deliver goodies to children in Orlando hospitals on Christmas Day. Within Our Church WANT TO BE A PART OF THE STEPHEN MINISTER TRAINING CLASS?: St. Luke’s will be training a new class of Stephen Ministers beginning January 7. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to grow in faith, develop stronger relational skills, and bring Christ’s love into the lives of hurting people.
