Building the Kingdom by Building Disciples ST. LUKE’S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Revisiting the Vision That the believers of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church will reach as many people as possible in Central Florida introducing them to eternal life in Jesus Christ. Together we will nurture and guide our growth as Disciples, to be deployed in servant ministry to build the Kingdom of God.
In other words... We find our purpose in Building the Kingdom by Building Disciples
We asked ourselves... Using our core values of acceptance, hospitality, community, discipleship and service, how can we build the kingdom and build disciples in strategic ways over the next 5 years?
2011 Our vision and core values led us to what became our “4D Vision”.
The 5 Year “4D Vision We will build the Kingdom and Build Disciples who will:
Speak Love Aloud by creating growth groups and events to erase prejudice by building connection with young adults, seniors, those with special needs, and other underrepresented communities by connecting our congregation through cluster groups and improved communication
The 5 Year “4D” Vision We will build the Kingdom and Build Disciples who will:
Turn the Church Inside Out by updating technology to offer online worship opportunities that encourage worshiping 3-4 times per month by recording worship to provide to small groups, shut-ins, and international partners by cultivating new worship opportunities that reflect the diversity of Central Florida and the Kingdom of God

Dig In and Grow Deep As Disciples by expanding innovative Children’s and Student Ministries to increase attendance and decrease attrition by building a culture of student and adult growth groups that meet 2-3 times per month by creating smart classrooms to increase distance learning with seminaries, international partners, and online small groups
The 5 Year “4D Vision We will build the Kingdom and Build Disciples who will:
Connect 4 Care by building a network of community cluster groups to provide opportunities for connection and care by broadening the ministries of healing and care to include recovery and counseling for specific populations
