This unit builds upon “Game Design I – Conceptual Game Design” to present basic interactive design, including interface design, information design, and world interaction. At the end of this unit the student will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to: — complete a gaming design development task within a set deadline; — identify areas for further improvement; — demonstrate operational capacity and management skills using creativity in designing game interaction systems; — interact with others to convey abstract and concrete solutions to game balancing problems; — formulate a design of a game interaction system based upon given game genre and target audience and makes judgments on the solution given; — effectively and efficiently manage projects and people within agreed timeframes through coursework. The assessment for this unit will be computed using the following weighting system: — 70% Assessed Coursework — 30% Examinations
