The Diploma in Management and Leadership aims to provide learners with the required quantitative skills earmarked to assist students attain competences in data analysis, a general background in accounting and last but not least the modern theories of management. As a graduate of the diploma, the learner will be able to: — interpret statistical data and elicit trends and information pertinent to the respective industry; — use quantitative techniques in order to develop models which will help undertake management tasks; — revert to major modern management techniques and methods to streamline the functionality of the department/firm; — think strategically to sustain competitive advantage for the firm;
— understand the entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial characteristics necessary to keep the firm in business; — develop a business plan ready for funding for an innovative product or service.

Students enrolled in this programme are to register for the Junior Achievement Young Enterprise – Start Up Competition (JAYE) which is a component of the Diploma. A membership fee applies and must be settled at the beginning of the academic year.
