This unit brings the power of world creation to the students’ fingertips as they emulate and manipulate game physics to suit the needs of their game world. Starting from the purpose and role of Game Engines, the students are exposed to the methodologies and practices to create stand-alone game applications fully aware of cross-platform technology limitations. This unit expands upon the programming skills obtained during the degree to cater programming 3D engines. At the end of this unit the student will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to: — design Artificial Intelligence for Games; — choose the appropriate technique for game projects requiring intelligent systems. The assessment for this unit will be computed using the following weighting system: — 40% Assessed Coursework — 60% Examinations
