I am an early adopter of technology. I seek out, use, and critique apps when they are first starting off. I see what is done right, improvements, and whether I would use it or not. I am fueled by my desire to work and make an impact at a startup. The goal for my summer: work hard, pick up a lot of experience, and work with some awesome technology. Specifically, I want to learn more about user interaction and outreach within a startup. I am prepared to throw myself into a project and use my experiences to complement a team. Let’s do this.

1. Shopping List

There are many list apps out on the market (Evernote, Carrot, Wunderlist) but not many of those apps combine with food tracking. By creating a shopping list feature it will encourage current users to use the app more. It will improve the user experience and the way users adopt the technology into their everyday lives. Users will be able to view others Shopping Lists on their feed and be able to interact with each other over where to shop and what other users recommend. Speaking of Recommendations....

2. Recommendations

TwoGrand is a social technology that fosters relationships between users. In creating connections through weight, diet, and exercise there should be an ability for users to encourage and recommend habits or products to their peers. Twitter uses “promoted”, Linked in lets you “endorse”, TwoGrand will allow you to recommend.

TwoGrand is used to reach a goal weight through photo tracking and interacting with other users. Reaching your GW is hard but Two Grand makes the experience exciting and social. To enhance the user experience TwoGrand could feature users who have reached their goal weight, on the feed. Adding the trending section that highlights some of your peers reaching their goal weight or a halfway milestone will enhance the user experience. As the Ninja Intern, I will feature these members on the blog. Two Grand could further enhance the blog by getting users to post their diets and pictures online to link to social media. This will enhance the social aspect that draws users in. But the real question every start-up has to ask is “How do we make money off of our product?” Unlike many of the startups I have visited, TwoGrand has a unique niche, the social and photo interaction. Sure, brands and companies could make their own accounts on TwoGrand but what is really going to make us follow them? A brand doesn’t have a GW, instead they have a goal, reach TwoGrands users. TwoGrand should start with local companies and brands that promote exercise, clean eating, and overall health. Allow these brands to show up on the feed in a non-evasive way. Then, TwoGrand can support users in reaching their goals while also generating revenue. I hope you enjoyed my Interactive PDF, feel free to click on the logos and see where it takes you!
