900 year old Skipton Castle is one of the best in England
STEEPED IN HISTORY a town with an industrial heritage
Skipton is perfectly located at the foot of the Yorkshire Dales on the River Aire with the Leeds to Liverpool canal running through its centre. The 127-mile-long canal was completed in 1816 and is popular today with narrow boats and leisure cruises.
The town is believed to date back to the 7th century, with its imposing castle being built around 1090. A popular visitor attraction, the castle is regarded as one of the most complete and well-preserved medieval castles in England. A 350-year-old yew tree planted by Lady Anne Clifford still survives today and is part of the fabric of the estate.
Skipton has an industrial heritage built on the textile industry. High Corn Mill is one of the oldest in North Yorkshire and is still powered by the waters of Ellerbeck. It is regarded as one of the finest mills of the 19th century and is grade II listed.

SUSTAINABILITY
we take our responsibilities seriously
There are so many reasons to consider investing in a new build property, not least for its reduced impact on the environment and its green credentials.
Due to the advanced build materials used, new build homes are much more thermally efficient and airtight. We fit modern, double glazed windows that are highly efficient in terms of insulation that reduces heat loss and saves on energy usage.
And it’s not just a positive effect on the environment that a new home affords. According to new-homes. co.uk, new build can have a positive impact on your finances too with an estimated yearly saving of £1,410 on a 4-bedroom new build home, when compared with the energy costs of £2,460 for a Victorian 4-bedroom detached home with some modern improvements.
In addition, we have worked with an energy consultant to assess and improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of the homes we build.
As a result, some houses at Spencer Grange will have their own solar panels as a minimum. Your Sales Advisor will be happy to discuss renewable technologies as relevant to each specific plot.
Stonebridge take climate change seriously. At Spencer Grange, all properties come with an electric vehicle charging point, at no extra cost. The charging point future proofs your home, and allows you to charge your car when it’s not in use, in the same way you would a mobile phone.
All of our homes are fitted with a security alarm, however to provide an even greater sense of security, and further enhance your energy efficiency, Stonebridge offer a smart thermostat as standard with the option to add on other elements including, CCTV.
In addition, all of our homes have 100% energy efficient lighting and dual flush toilets.
