THE BOULDER – A PHILOSOPHY FOR BOULDERING Francis Sanzaro is a climber and philosopher who believes that a sustained engagement with the fundamental concepts of bouldering is not only necessary for the sport, but for the boulderer to master their craft. He has written on such diverse topics as visual art, philosophy, film and religion, and has published in poetry journals, newspapers, magazines and academic venues. Currently, he teaches philosophy and religion at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.
