Hall & Entrance

A welcoming entrance is important when selling your home as in most instances it is the first space within the home prospective buyers will see. › Store away any items that are unnecessary such as shoes and bags. › Hang up any jackets, bags or clothing. › Add some flowers or a potted plant. › Try to avoid bare walls by putting up mirrors, a painting or framed pictures.

Kitchen

The kitchen should feel clean and tidy. › Keep the counters and kitchen table clear of too many objects. › Keep the number of appliances on benches to a minimum and if possible, hide all appliance cords from view. › Have a nice looking cutting board and a cook book in view. Neatly packaged items like olive oil or fresh herbs can complete the look of a kitchen. › The refrigerator doors should be clutter free, removing magnets or any other items. › Dress the table with appealing dinner sets.

Living Room

A living room that appears spacious and welcoming will have more appeal to the buyer. › Avoid having big bulky furniture that will take up floor space. › Light the fire place if you have one. › Decorate the lounge with some cushions. › Add a blanket/throw rug and books to make it appear lived-in. › Put all device remotes away and keep children’s toys hidden away.
