HIGH-GLOSS
In order to achieve a shiny and sleek look for your lobby, restaurant or bar area, a high-gloss floor can enhance the lighting in your environment as more light will reflect off the floor and ultimately give off that high gloss sheen that you’re looking for.
ERGONOMIC
Both staff and guests have periods of standing on your floor for extended periods which causes fatigue, especially after travelling. Ergonomic floors provide comfort underfoot and reduce standingrelated misalignments for anyone spending long hours on their feet.
ANTI-MICROBIAL
The last thing your guest wants to see is your floor inhibiting microbial and fungal growth in areas such as showers, spas and change rooms. Anti-microbial floors and walls help block microorganisms, such as the growth of bacteria, fungi, and moulds to keep your facility clean at all times.
NOISE-REDUCTION
A sound-absorbing floor is designed with materials to absorb the sound waves that are transmitted when hard objects come in contact with its surface. On traditional floors, even a stapler falling from the reception desk will amplify the sound, creating a loud acoustical environment. A floor with sound absorbing qualities will help reduce the noise amplification.

SLIP-RESISTANT
Slip-resistant flooring is designed with material properties to help reduce slipperiness and increase traction. Extremely critical to protect employees in Back-of-House areas such as kitchens and washdown environments.
HIGH-STRENGTH
All Stonhard systems are incredibly durable and boast impressive compressive strength. The capacity of your floor to withstand heavy loads and have an impact and compression resistance can make a critical difference in your facility.
ESD CONDUCTIVE
It is very easy to build up static charge through friction on standard floors because epoxy acts as an insulative material. In areas such as your hotel’s electrical room, ESD floors can provide superior static control, protecting against sparks, fires, and explosions.
THERMAL SHOCK/CYCLING
Floors that stand up to extreme temperatures and extreme changes in temperatures are thermal shock and thermal cycling resistant. This feature is particularly useful in freezers, ovens, and kitchens in general.
CHEMICAL RESISTANT
Chemical attacks can destroy floors, walls, and linings quickly. Chemical-resistant systems contain properties that protect your mechanical rooms, kitchens, and other processing areas from spills and splashes from acids, alkalis, solvents, and other corrosive elements.

Stonhard’s coating solutions use urethane technology that is specially formulated for vehicular traffic in demanding environments like parking decks, parking garages, as well as pedestrian structures.
EXTERIOR WALKWAYS & RAMPS
For exterior walkways and ramps, a natural stone grip system is recommended. This solution utilizes durable polyurethane technology combined with locally sourced natural stone and light stable MMA sealers, to provide the ideal solution for fast-track resurfacing and revival of tired and worn concrete surfaces for your exterior walkways and ramps.

Unlike many other flooring products, epoxy floors become a part of your hotel’s very structure, so they won’t end up in a landfill after their long life or when a change is desired. Our Research and Development teams are also diligently working behind the scenes to integrate sustainability into all our products and projects.
At Stonhard we utilize sustainable and recycled materials to ensure we’re doing our part in maintaining a healthy environment. Flooring Solutions like Stonclad GR are produced with 25% recycled glass fillers whereas Stonclad G2 and Stonblend GSI-G utilize recycled glass and plant-based resins. Stonhard floors can also be considered eco-friendly based on the disposal of the materials upon replacement. Unlike many other products, seamless floors are part of the building’s very structure and make them an optimal choice for the hospitality industry.
