In 2018, The Trailer Store required a flooring solution that would enhance both the aesthetics and functionality of their showroom and maintenance shop. Stonhard was chosen for the job due to its reputation for high-performance, durable flooring systems. The project was executed with precision, resulting in a long-lasting and visually appealing installation that continues to perform exceptionally well years later. THE STONHARD SOLUTION
For the showroom, the goal was to create a sleek, professional, and durable floor that could withstand high foot traffic while maintaining an attractive appearance. To achieve this, Stontec EFC was installed, a seamless and decorative flooring system known for its durability and ease of maintenance. The floor was then sealed twice, ensuring a smoother finish by eliminating any uneven flake patterns or roller lines. To further enhance longevity and provide UV protection, a layer of Stonseal SK6 was applied, preventing discolouration and wear over time.
In the maintenance shop, durability and safety were top priorities. The installation process began with shot blasting and diamond grinding along all edges to ensure proper adhesion and surface preparation. Once prepped, two coats of Stonkote GS4 were applied, incorporating Texture #2 to enhance slip resistance. This resulted in a rugged, nonslip surface that can withstand the demands of a high-use maintenance environment while maintaining a clean and professional look.
Now, several years after installation, the flooring at The Trailer Store remains in excellent condition, proving the longterm reliability of Stonhard’s solutions. The showroom floor retains its smooth, vibrant finish, and the maintenance shop flooring continues to provide a safe, durable workspace for employees.
