Document No: 013

Effective Date: 01/05/24

Owner: Board of Directors

Version: 2.00

Issued: January 2024

Introduction

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the ‘Act’) requires every business that has an annual turnover of over £36million to publish a statement which sets out the steps they have taken to ensure there is no modern slavery in their business or in their supply chain.

Storm Technologies strives to be a company for which people are proud to work, and we want all employees to be fully engaged and invested in our goals and end missions, along with our business ethics.

Storm does and will not tolerate forced, bonded or compulsory labour, human trafficking, and other kinds of slavery within our own business or within our supply chain and we are committed to taking appropriate steps to ensure that everyone who works for Storm benefits from a working environment in which their fundamental rights and freedoms are respected.

Storm adopts procedures that contribute to ensuring modern slavery does not occur in our business or supply chain and we expect businesses with whom we do business with, to adopt and enforce policies to comply with the relevant legislation.

Our structure and supply chain

Storm Technologies Limited is a company incorporated in the UK, with two subsidiary companies incorporated in the Netherlands and United States of America. Our customers are predominantly located in the UK.

Storm Technologies is an IT Reseller and provides corporate and public sector businesses with networking, security, software licensing, workplace technology, and cloud services.

Storm employees around 185 staff members, with 99% being based in the UK.

Our processes

Due to the nature of our business and the locations, we categorise our business as low risk for the potential of modern slavery or human trafficking.

Purchasing from mainstream suppliers, we believe our business model is low risk of assisting modern slavery within our supply chain.

Our supply chain

To identify and reduce risk of modern slavery taking place within our supply chain,

• We put our suppliers into a ‘Tier’ model.

• Tier 1 suppliers are vigorously reviewed and assessed via the Achilles supplier assessment portal

• Other tiered suppliers are required to complete a Supplier Evaluation Questionnaire, provided to them by Storm.

• Storm provides a Supplier Code of Conduct policy which covers modern slavery and sets out our values, standards, and expectations. Suppliers must agree to comply with the code of conduct as part of the onboarding process, ensuring a minimum standard.

• Should a supplier not agree to comply with our Code of Conduct, Storm would open up communication to work with the supplier to bring their processes and policies in line with our expected standards.

Our Employees

• Storm treats all employees in a fair, lawful, and professional manner and provides good working conditions, including training, holiday entitlement and benefits.

• Storm has a stringent recruitment process in line with UK employment laws, including:

➢ ‘Right to Work’ document checks

➢ Contract of Employment, available to the employee at all times

➢ Never request or expect to retain any employee documents

➢ Always pay above minimum wage

➢ Never force employees to carry out overtime

This Modern Slavery Statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ended 31st December 2023.
