Health & Safety Policy Statement SP_018

Storm Procurement accepts in full its responsibilities as an employer to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees and other persons who may be affected by their activities. We are committed to continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S) management and performance, with the main objective being to prevent occurrences that may lead to injury or ill health.

To support the stated commitment, it is management policy to integrate H&S considerations into the business decision-making process.

The Directors have the overall responsibility to implement the H&S policy in the business. H&S objectives are set at the same level as any other business objectives.

Employees have the responsibility to actively support and cooperate with the company and their colleagues to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of this policy and H&S arrangements in general, to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions at work, and to use safety provisions correctly.

This policy is communicated throughout the organisation and made available to interested parties. In order to maintain our H&S Policy, it is necessary that every reasonably practicable means be used to:

 Comply with applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which we subscribe.

 Ensure integration of the H&S management system requirements into the business processes

 Allocating clear H&S responsibilities at all levels of the organisation and providing adequate resources in order to develop the H&S policy to achieve the company’s objectives.

 Undertaking systematic examination of the workplace and all work activities to identify any potential hazards and enable an assessment of the risk and the implementation of any control measures necessary to reduce or prevent that risk.

 Eliminating Health & Safety hazards, where practically possible.

 Providing and maintaining equipment, facilities and systems of work that are safe and without risk to health and providing any arrangements required to ensure the welfare of employees.

 Consulting with employees on matters which may affect their H&S.

 Ensuring competence of all employees (and non-employees, as appropriate) and the provision of relevant information, instruction, training, and supervision to work safely and efficiently to enable them to take individual responsibility for H&S matters.

 Establishing effective communication procedures between company employees and nonemployees (when they are on site) to ensure everybody’s safety.

 Committing to raise awareness and promote the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices and to facilitate workers participation in a rage of initiatives that support health and wellbeing.
