Samuel smashes his fundraising target! Back in June we told you all about six year old Samuel and his quest to cover 140km in 16 weeks as part of a challenge he chose to set himself, raising much needed funds for SSNAP (Support of The Sick Newborns & their Parents.)
Samuels idea came after close friends of his family gave birth to twins, 16 weeks early. The charity SSNAP helped the family to get through a very tough time which is why Samuel chose to take it upon himself to help the only way he knew how. Samuel’s Mum Vicky told the Stotfold News Magazine “We are so proud of Samuel for raising such an amazing amount of money and also his little sister Chloe who was a great support to him along the way. ” “In total, Samuel managed to raise a whopping £1600 for the charity!”

Samuel scooted, biked and walked his way around the town in order to reach his target. Some days he was joined by friends and family and others he just pressed on, all under the watchful eye of his parents.
In the UK, 1 in 10 babies need specialist care at birth. SSNAP supports sick & premature babies and their families - They provide emotional and practical support to help parents through the trauma & upheaval coping with a premature baby (or two) brings..
We are certain that every single penny raised by Samuel will be most gratefully received. Congratulations Samuel on such a wonderful achievement!
