Wow, what a fabulously music week we have had! It was so lovely to welcome family and friends to our Year 2 and 3 concerts this week. There were a few nerves but all the children performed so well and with such confidence. The choir sang at both concerts, really impressing me with how they were able to sing in two and three parts with no extra adult help! Our Year 3 Music Award winners this week were chosen because they expertly led the part singing in both performances, I really couldn't have managed without them! It's so lovely when the children are confident enough to lead their friends, well done Beatrix, Bertie, Grace and Lucas! In the Year 2 concert there were some lovely recorder and piano solos, followed by performances on the drums, violin, clarinet and guitar as well as recorder and piano in Year 3. I particularly enjoyed accompanying some of the children playing their first piano duets! I'm already looking forward to our next round of concerts where we will be welcoming more of our year 2 children to play. Keep practicing, the hard work really does pay off!! Mrs Hayden

UPDATE on Proposed sports pitches and improved parking at St Peter’s School This project is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to improve our existing sports facilities and provide even better opportunity for pupils to participate in sports and reach their potential on state-of-the-art facilities. The new parking area will also help to ease current parking issues at drop-off and pick-up times. Following planning submission last year, we have worked closely with City of York Council and other statutory consultees and have now submitted a pack of information which is available on the Council’s planning portal.
