St Peter's Virtual Robotics Challenge
Would your school like to join St Peter's in some mini robot challenges?
The Aim:
For pupils and teachers to learn more about robotics and have some fun!
The Challenges:
These are loosely based around the TV classic, Robot Wars. Don't worry, there's no deliberate smashing up of robots here! Challenges are suitable for Years 5 and 6.
The Robots
There are not many restrictions to the robots:
-Must be a DIY robot vehicle (i.e. not an off-the-shelf remote control car etc.)
-Must not be too big, so that the scale of the robot is not excessive for the challenges (further details to follow)
- Robots can be automated or remote controlled.
Example robots could be Microbit, Arduino, Raspberry Pi based. Makebloc, Vex, Lego Mindstorm...
Online Launch Event
6th March 2023.
Presentation Event
Summer term, date tbc.
When and where?
Challenges can be attempted at any time between the launch event and the end of the summer term. A virtual leader board will record scores for individual challenges, incorporating categories for beginner and advanced robot engineers. Challenges can be completed at your own school, or we can arrange a date to complete the challenges at St Peter's.
