ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Stratford Hall is excited to introduce our program for the summer break, called Sabres Summer! We believe our program will offer your children the opportunity to learn new skills, build new relationships, develop self-confidence, and have fun over the summer break. Sabres Summer will offer various activities based around week-long themes delivered by Stratford Hall Staff.

ACADEMIC SABRES SUMMER CAMP

Sabres Summer will run from 8:30am to 3:30pm daily. All participants must be collected by an authorised parent or guardian.
COST
Sabres Summer Camp Cost: $425 per week ($340 for Week 2)
Academic Sabres Summer Camp Cost: $600 per week
Both camps can only be booked for the full week.
AGE GROUPS
Sabres Summer Camps will be separated into two age groups
● Kindergarten - Grade 2 (entering grade in 2025)
● Grade 3 - Grade 7 (entering grade in 2025)
SABRES SUMMER CAMP ACTIVITIES
Sabres Summer will include weekly themes that all summer activities will be based upon. Weekly summer activities will include: Arts and Crafts, Drama, Technology exploration, Physical activity and games, Water play, Design activities and more! Students will also have fun, free-play opportunities and outdoor play (MYP/PYP rooftop and Clark Park) for all children as well as the organised activities. Each week includes 1-2 field trips.

Prehistoric Adventures
We start our summer with a journey back in time, the farthest back anyone has traveled… In this week of Prehistoric Adventures, we will discover extinct creatures and learn skills to survive in a time without modern technology
Medieval Times
As we move forward in time, we find ourselves amongst artists, knights, and engineers! During our travels this week, we will learn from some of the greatest artists of all time and will join the knights of the round table in the quest of a lifetime.

The Groovy Disco Era
In this far out and groovy week, we will spread the peace and love of the older days by exploring the fun colours, patterns, and trends of the era. Get ready for a totally radical week!
Future: The Year 2999
Flash forward 974 years! During this week, our campers will be navigating the future world, experiencing new technology and taking wisdom from our evolved society at the turn of the millennia.
A New Civilization Lightyears Away!
A team of carefully selected astronauts, scientists, and space explorers have been assembled to take humanity's next biggest adventure! The intergalactic team will set off with one vital mission – find a habitable planet for humanity to expand to.

ACADEMIC SABRES SUMMER CAMP ACTIVITIES
Stratford Hall is excited to offer our Academic Sabres Summer Camp program. We believe our program will offer children the opportunity to learn new skills and maintain growth gained in reading, writing, numeracy and more, while also helping build new relationships, develop self-confidence, and have fun over the summer break! This program is run by a licensed teacher and is developed as a fun and engaging way for participants to both prepare for the new school year, as well as enjoy the excitement and fun that summer camp has to offer This camp is open to existing Stratford Hall students entering Grade 4 - 7 in September 2025 Sabres Summer Academic Camp is not summer school; this camp combines the fun of traditional summer camp with an academic lens.

REGISTRATION
Sabres Summer registration for all Stratford Hall families is to be completed via your Schoolsbuddy account.
For all non-Stratford Hall families, or families entering Stratford Hall for the first time in September, 2025, please contact sabres.summer@stratfordhall.ca to create a temporary Schoolsbuddy account.
CAMP REGISTRATION CLOSES JUNE 8
CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds/credits will only be issued for camp cancellations until May 24 with a $50 administrative fee, after which there will be no refunds or credits.
SABRES SUMMER HAT AND T-SHIRT
Each camper will receive a Sabres Summer hat and t-shirt on their first day of camp. These are to be worn on all field trips.

1. What should my child bring?
Participants are required to bring the following: water bottle, nut free food (for snacks and lunch), medication (eg. inhaler, EpiPen), sunscreen, change of clothes, towel and/or bathing suits.
2. What are the hours of operation during summer camp?
Sabres Summer will run from 8:30am until 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (except for July 1, closed for Canada Day).
3. Will there be half day or daily registration options?
No, all registrations are for a full week of camp. No registration options are available for individual days.
4. Will there be before or after care?
No, students may enter the building at 8:30am and must be collected by 3:30pm daily. Please call Stratford Hall (604 436 0608 ext 251) to let staff know you will be late, or are making arrangements for an alternate adult to pick up your child, a late fee may apply for all late pick-ups after multiple offenses.
5. Will uniforms be required?
No, children are not required to wear a Stratford Hall uniform. However, please bring weather appropriate clothing.
6. Will there be wait lists?
Yes, we will maintain wait lists, please email us to get put on the wait list; you will be notified if a space becomes available.
7. What is the Cancellation and Refund Policy?
Stratford Hall will offer full credits (to each family's Schoolsbuddy account) if cancellation of Camp is made no later than May 24.
Non-Stratford Hall families will be eligible to receive refunds with a $50 administrative fee, if canceled before May 24, notice of cancellation must be given in writing (email) to sabres.summer@stratfordhall.ca. If a cancellation is made after May 24, there will be NO REFUND OR CREDIT ISSUED. No refunds or discounts will be issued for missed days.
8. Is a form required to be filled out prior to Sabres Summer starting?
Yes, after registration closes, each family will be sent a form to complete with information about their child and informed consent forms will be sent to families before relevant field trips. If you have any questions, please email sabres.summer@stratfordhall.ca.
