Cast Bios
Amandine Poulain – Ivianna Y
Ivianna has done 4 shows during her time at Strath, they were Matilda Jr, DNA, Once, and Little Shop of Horrors Amelie is my 5th show. I enjoy doing shows at Strathallan because the cast are lovely and I enjoy performing the shows. She would love to do more shows in the coming years. Ivianna would like to thank her friends Amy, Isla, Josie, Emma and Megan for making rehearsals even better.
Raphael Poulain – George B
George has done three productions at Strathallan and has loved all of them. Productions are a great way of creating cross year friendships, as well as giving members of the productions a great sense of community. Not only is getting to know students, a highlight of being in productions, but getting to know the amazing teachers who put so much time and effort into us. It is really an honour working with Ms. CarrBates, Mr Hamilton, and Robyn as they are all truly amazing people.
Goldfish/Sylvie and U/S Suzanne (Saturday matinee) – Evie B
In the past few years at Strathallan, Evie has been in Oliver and Little Shop of Horrors. She would like to thank Mrs. Carr-Bates and Mr. Hamilton who run these shows very professionally while still making it fun. I think that doing shows at school is a really good way to mix year between groups and to meet new people.

Lucien – Olly D
Olly has always enjoyed being involved in Drama at Strathallan and has enjoyed playing Lucien in Amelie. In the Prep School he played the role Oliver Twist in Oliver! Last year he played the role of John Harker (Mina’s son) in Dracula. He has very much enjoyed exploring the role of Lucien and his fig fixation!
Mrs Collignon – Imogen S
I have always been involved with drama, it has become such a big part of my life and I am glad that I have got to experience it. I have been in many plays and musicals over the years. Including many in primary school. Since being at strath have been in, DNA, Once the musical, Matilda the musical, and little shop of horrors. I love the atmosphere that comes with being a part of a cast. I would like to say thank you to Mrs. Carr-Bates, our incredible director and fabulous teacher, she has put drama into a whole new perspective for me. I am very excited to continue my drama journey with such an amazing team.
Priest – Vinnie B
Elton John – Max E
Max’s first show at Strath was last year when he played Mushnik. He really enjoyed the experience and just how fun it was. He decided to give it another go this year! He has really enjoyed working with everyone and meeting new people through the rehearsals.
Adrian – Douglas P
This is my fourth production at Strathallan. My first performance, Matilda, at the age of 12, I took Trunchbull to the stage. Since then my love for drama only grew. My commitments to drama have extended to LAMDA exams and have competed in public speaking at Perform in Perth. Right now dedication for drama is amongst the school but maybe one day it will extend further. Hollywoods the dream! Amelie is a complex story but it’s been a great challenge to immerse myself upon. It’s been a roller coaster but we are here and it’s only left to thank Mrs Carr-Bates, Mr Hamilton and Robin, cast and crew for this experience.
I have previously played Zazu in the Riley production of the Lion King and have loved the rehearsals and seeing the show build up. Thank you to Mrs Carr-Bates for orchestrating the musical and the cast and tech crew for helping it come to life.
Gina – Isla C
This is Isla’s 6th show at Strathallan. Isla is dedicated to the Drama department and enjoys taking part in both the play and the musical. Isla enjoyed her experience in Dracula especially, getting to expand on her skills. She has worked very hard and is excited to share the part of Gina with you all.
Head of Stage Crew – Natalie DCT
This is my first official show as stage manager, and I have worked on 8 other shows at Strath. I have enjoyed the set building process as the one who takes care of all the painted details, because it brings the 1990s French setting to life. Thanks to Oli our set designer and Mrs Carr-Bates for the opportunity to work on this set. I hope you enjoy the show.
Suzanne/Amelie – Megan A
Megan has done two previous shows at Strath. Her favourite was Little shop of horrors where she was Chiffon. Megan is extremely grateful for the support provided by Mrs Carr-Bates, Mr Hamilton and Robyn! And is super excited to be playing Amelie and Suzanne!
Props Master – Matthew T
Hello, I’m Matthew and for the musical I’m running the props and have been helping with the set construction. I’ve been in the stage crew for three years now and it’s just been so amazing. Hope you enjoy the show and keep an eye out for the crew!
Mme Juliette Dufayel – Bronte C
Maguerite the Tourist – Freyja D
Freyja took part in Little Shop of Horrors last year and is very pleased to be part of the production in the brief but impactful role of Maguerite.
Last year Bronte was in Little Shop of Horrors and thoroughly enjoyed it. She played Skip Snip which was great fun! She is enjoying the rehearsal process of Amelie. As Head of Dance she has been working hard to promote dance in the school. She would like to thank all the teachers and crew involved as she feels that Strath students are so lucky to have these wonderful facilities and opportunities to perform to such a high standard.
Joseph – Mason C
Mason did not expect to be in Amelie as he only came to the audition to support his friend. He then got roped in by Mr Hamilton and Mrs Carr-Bates. This is Mason’s first production at Strathallan and he has really enjoyed getting to play the grumpy plumber Joseph and he has really enjoyed getting to work with the cast and crew.
Nino - Alistair S
I am quite new to the Drama Department. In fact, this is my first production at Strath but, getting involved in Amelie has helpedme grow in confidence and help improve my singing ability, which I'm grateful for. Hopefully you enjoy the show!
Crew – Erica M
Amelie is my second production at Strathallan. Although I don’t have one of the main parts I really enjoy performing and being on stage. I have been dancing for most my life and I will always enjoy performing and being with the rest of the cast!
Wrong Bredoteau 3 – Anna G
I've been at Strath for 3 years. I first did a show in the prep school where I was backstage, but this is my first time preforming on stage. I have enjoyed learning about the show and this show has helped me boost my confidence. I have also enjoyed meeting new people. I would to thank Mrs Carr-Bates and Mr Hamilton for giving me opportunity to perform, and helping me along the way.
Ensemble member – Eloise R
In senior school I have only done Amelie so far, the process has been amazing, with a balance of getting things done but being really enjoyable. It has always been clear when and who are needed for rehearsals and rehearsal expectations, all around a great process.
Hippolita – Josie C
Last year Josie played an urchin in Little Shop of Horrors and always loves getting involved in Drama productions. She has enjoyed playing Hippolita and hopes you all enjoy the show!

Newreader/U/S Sylvie(Saturday matinee) – Iona F
Iona is very excited to be part of this musical. Even though she is normally in the plays being a part of the musicals is always a new and exciting experience to be a part of. The last musical she was a part of was Legally Blonde, the rest being the plays e.g. DNA and Dracula.
Mysterious Man – Shannon P
Shannon has been in the musical Oliver and Little Shop of Horrors. She has had a great experience and has made a diverse group of friends she would not otherwise have met. Shannon wants to thank Mrs Carr-Bates and Mr Hamilton for giving me these opportunities.
Mr Collignon – Oskar V-D
Hi, I am Oskar, and I am enjoying my first musical experience very much. So far, I grew a lot by working with cast mates and meeting new people through it. I hope you enjoy the show.
Train Announcer (in French) –Francesca W
Francesca played the leading role of Lia in DNA in fourth form. She normally steers clear of musicals but is delighted to be part of Amelie.
Newsreader – Iris M
Last year Iris played a Vampire Bride in Mrs Carr-Bates’s first production at Strathallan and since then has completed her GCSE Drama and was in Little Shop of Horrors. She has enjoyed taking part in this musical and hopes you all enjoy the show.
