o good to be in touch with you guys so regularly. We’ve always wanted to get the news you need to know faster than before and our new weekly magazine is doing really successfully. This experience has really made me step up my journalism skills and has given me a new vision in media. Before I used to find the stories monthly, now I’m finding out what you guys need to know like NOW! Loving the journey and it seems you guys are loving it also. This will be our third weekly edition and on the cover its the one and only couple that everyone cant stop talking about - Jay Z and Beyonce. Just when you think they are about to have a break with their career they come at us once again with their first world tour together titled On The Run. Personally speaking I think that it looks like they have joined forces to fill stadiums as they are incapable of doing it on their own but the positive side is that this is a never before seen show that will please the fans. many times can we see Jay Z and Beyonce individually? I’ve never seen artists do so many shows in one year and then back the year after but its only me maybe who thinks this. Maybe the fans cant get enough and need to see them every year. I’m not trying to put a downer on the collaboration at all don’t get me wrong, this is something the fans would be happy with but I’m just hoping that they don’t burn out. ip-hop mogul Damon Dash claims he’s deep in debt up to his eyeballs and close to being evicted from his home. The one who discovered Jay Z and former CEO of Rocafella records is now flat on his face with late rent payments.
This man once ruled the hiphop world and had a $50 million empire. Since departing from former partner Jay Z its been a downhill slope, we hope Damon gets back on his feet as this guy has done a lot for hiphop, and if it wasn’t for him there would be no Jay Z.

he official wedding of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian has been reported to be on Saturday 24th May. After many years as partners they are finally going to tie the knot. There will be 700 close friends of Kimye attending the ceremony reported to take place at a secret location in France. Kim has tweeted on her page “We are not filming our wedding for Keeping Up With The Kardashians”. She also added: “You will see everything leading up until and maybe even photos. As much as we would love to share these memories, privacy is our main priority’. You can be sure that we will have photos of the wedding for our next edition courtesy of our sources. The reality royalty marries the hiphop king and word has it that Jay Z will be the best man. Keep an eye.

en make for an engaging and sympathetic couple whom we can easily root for. However, the vast majority of the film rests on Taylor-Johnson’s shoulders and while he does a great job, I’m afraid that he isn’t strong enough of a dramatic actor to be able to carry a film of this magnitude on his own. Luckily for him, he has a great supporting cast to help him, including the breathtaking Bryan Cranston. With the colossal success and popularity of Breaking Bad, a huge amount of the promotional material has focussed on Cranston, leading many people to believe that the film will focus predominantly on his character. Instead, what we get is more of a cameo role from Cranston, with his total screen time amounting to approximately 20

n 1954, Ishirô Honda introduced us to a monster. 60 years and 30 movies later, that monster has become a bona fide legend known as “the King of monsters”...Godzilla. Gareth Edwards, in only his second feature film, has delivered something spectacular. It’s hard to believe that such an inexperienced director has produced a film so accomplished and confident in itself. Drawing on the work of Steven Spielberg, Edwards focuses on teasing his audience with only quick glimpses of action, while slowly building towards an epic, pulse-pounding climax. The most comparable piece of Spielberg’s filmography I can think of is Jurassic Park, in which the legendary filmmaker constantly teases his audience with the promise of rampaging dinosaurs, but only delivers on that promise in the final forty-five minutes of the movie. If used correctly, this can serve as a fantastic tool for building anticipation within your audience, but if used incorrectly; they can grow restless waiting for you to deliver on your promise. Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla falls somewhere in-between - it’s never boring, but it’s frustratingly withdrawn for the first hour. However, this is a deliberate choice made by Edwards and it is one that ultimately pays off, as the final thirty minutes of this film are absolutely mindblowing, featuring some of the most astounding visual effects work I have ever seen. The cast are great, with everybody bringing their A-game and treating the material with the respect it deserves. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Ols-
minutes. While this is disappointing, it is only disappointing because it is an absolute joy to watch this man act. He steals absolutely every scene he is in and in the short time he is featured in the movie, he gives the most memorable performance. Godzilla himself is mesmerising and he has been accomplished with such detail that he truly comes to life on screen. Instead of depicting him as an emotionless monster, the filmmakers humanise him, bestowing him with a wide range of emotions, making it easier for audiences to understand and relate to the “king of monsters”. I have heard countless complaints about the fact that we don’t get to see Godzilla until over an hour into the film but for me, that simply makes every appearance even more special and gratifying. It is undeniable that this film will divide audiences. Those expecting a fast-paced, action packed movie featuring pointless and endless battles between Godzilla and his rival monsters will be bitterly disappointed. However, those expecting a good Godzilla movie will be deeply pleased with what transpires on screen. This is the first time in years that Godzilla has actually felt important and it is a joy to see him on screen in all his glory. Whether you like the film or not, Legendary Pictures have officially announced that a sequel is in the works, giving them the opportunity to learn from their mistakes this time around and deliver something absolutely extraordinary next time. I for one am immensely excited to see what direction they take this franchise in. All in all, Edwards has done a fantastic job in updating Godzilla for a modern audience, and while his film isn’t perfect, it is the perfect start to a franchise that has enormous potential.

ts not often or at all you hear any controversy surrounding Jay-Z and Beyoncé, the King and queen of today’s pop music culture but lately there has been a few troubling rumours circulating about the relationship.
The kicking and screaming by Beyoncé’s sister Solange has had millions question why so much hate towards her brother-in-law? The video shows Beys sister laying into her husband with the utmost vigour and even spitting. Word has it that Jay was rude to Solange saying the words ‘You are always one to talk and have no substance’ This was in regards to Jay wanting to attend Rihanna’s after party on his own after the awards. Now no-one is saying that a man can not have his space and attend a party on his own but questions have been asked why Solange is so upset about him attending. Apparently Jay was flirting with Damon Dash’s ex-wife Rachel Roy on the night and have been talking privately on phone calls for a while.
Word also has it that Jay also used to date her years back at the time he employed her to work for the Rocafella label. How true this is we don’t know, but all eyes are on Jay Z and Beyoncé’s relationship which they portray to be perfect, but being the people we are, we want to be nosey and know what is going on behind those closed doors. The incident which happened in the hotel lift has been forgiven, and Solange let a statement out to say ‘That these things happen in relationships’. Beyoncé was seen ‘struggling’ to take sides between Jay-Z and Solange but it is said that she knew Solange was going to lay into him. From the outside looking into the situation it looks like this kind of thing happens a lot. We always thought Jay looks well in control of the relationship but maybe we are looking to deep into things, I mean after all they are both going on tour with each other and they must really get along to be in each others faces like that eh?

COVER STORY Just a few days after the altercation in the lift Beyoncé posted photos of a happy family on her website. “A statement released said ‘Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. ‘ They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. At the end of the day, families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve worked through it and have moved on’ It is quite clear they have moved on from the shocking incident as they are posting pics of happy family and get-togethers on Instagram. This publicity has given Jay-Z and Beyoncé a lot more attention than ever and could be a good thing. Jay Z and Beyoncé’s first ever On the Run tour begins in Miami on 25 June and ends in San Francisco on 6 August. They have yet to announce any European dates. tars from stage, screen and CD machines, turned out in numbers as Birmingham City Football Club hosted the second Footy4Harry celebrity football match to raise money for the charity Help Harry Help Others. Names such as X Factor’s Gareth Gates, Rough Copy, Shane Ward plus MC Harvey Abz from Five and the Honeyz from the world of music, boxers Joe Calzaghe, Nathan Cleverley and local hero, Frankoe Gavin, reality TV stars Little Chris and James Argent from TOWIE, plus Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews, with a healthy spread of soap stars including Adam Woodyatt, Jake Wood and Jacqueline Jossa (EastEndres’ Ian Beale plus Max and Lauren Branning) plus Walford newbie, Terry Alderton made for a day to remember for all involved. Adding their experience to a day of stars were ex-Birmingham City players, Michael Johnson and Paul Devlin, Dean Holdsworth with former Aston Villa favourite Ian Taylor, turning out to be the ‘panto villain’ on a day which provided one winner; Harry Mosely, who raised more than £500,000 for charity before he died of a brain tumour aged just 11 in 2011. There was a minutes’ applause in honour of the late Steven Sutton who, during his battle, raised over £3million for charity. Harry’s mum Georgina, who launched the charity in his memory, said: “I absolutely loved every bit of this day and I know Harry would too. Seeing what Steven Sutton was going through
was like watching Harry all over again and seeing all these stars turnout for Harry proved very emotional. It might be more than two years since we lost Harry but it still feels like yesterday.” Help Harry Help Others has raised and distributed nearly £400,000 in the last 12 months, helping to support 120 families facing a traumatic battle against cancer in the West Midlands.

ow does music make you feel? Do you cry at a tune or piece of music? Do you need music to clean help you clean up? Or build up a vibe before going out raving? YES I DO TOO! Some music can really move you to tears whereas other music can educate you ! Due to the lack of words used I find that classical music can move me to another level of existence that I was totally unaware that I had! Due to this new finding I decided to investigate my own relationship with music, was it the melody and bassline or words sung that has my waist moving or tearducts forming a drop-
let of liquid. So for one day I listened to nothing but instrumentals or classsic music then the next day nothing but instrumentals. The results - I need a beat! I need a melody! Its that that stimulates my vibe and current emotins to alter. A chunky bassline plus a rhythmic melody equals chan the dancing queen! Beats can be created ANYWAY that’s why I LOVE music so much! A group called Pitch Perfect sing a song called ‘when I’m gone’ where the use of a CUP creating a beat is the main focus of the tune! Lets go back further to the 80’s where beatboxing was the t’ing! Doug E Fresh pioneered it, as well as the ‘dougie’ dance, a simple produc-
tion of sound the lips, mouth, tongue and voice! You cannot tell me that on hearing some good beatboxing your head doesn’t bob or nod and that your facial features don’t distort to a smile to express pleasure or disgust at such a ‘sick’ beat! No? hmmm okay then, #whatever. Music is way powerful! It can sometimes heal rifts! LADIES - you and your partner have a heated argument and you shout “How dare you talk to me like that? What the hell am I to you, huh? Yeah, thats right NOTHING!” Then he angrily puts on some music and leaves the room, the song playing is “YOU ARE EVERYTHING” by Mary J Blige - ARGUMENT DONE!
