On 18th St., Ashland to Blue Island Ave. Fri & Sat Noon-10pm, Sun Noon-9pm Located in Chicago’s historic Pilsen, the festival features food stands, local musicians performing in little plazuelitas in a .3-mile long celebration of community and unity in the city’s only outdoor cook-off celebrating over 20 participating Latinx and Mexican restaurants and food vendors; open-air mercado with local merchants, crafters, and artisans as well as music, dancing, and lucha libre wrestling. Beneficiaries are the ESDC Resiliency Fund, which provides financial assistance and grants to local businesses and Food for Hope. www.moledemayo.org May 28
