The Sigma Theta Tau International/Chamberlain College of Nursing Center for Excellence in Nursing Education has a variety of programs and resources available to help nurse faculty members grow and thrive in their careers.
Emerging Educational Administrator Institute (EEAI) Through a combination of online learning activities, two face-to-face workshops, and completion of a leadership project, the EEAI helps participants develop and refine the skills necessary to be successful in an academic administrative role. Topics include role transition, influencing change, the politics of the administrative role, finding balance, team building, and leaving a legacy. Experienced Nurse Faculty Leadership Academy (ENFLA) Experienced faculty with at least 7 years of full-time employment in a teaching role are encouraged to apply for the ENFLA, a 12-month program that will increase participants’ leadership acumen and further develop the skills necessary to lead in academe, professional organizations, and the community. The curriculum includes two face-to-face workshops, an individual leadership progression plan, and completion of a leadership project. Each leadership scholar is paired with a self-selected mentor who will work collaboratively with academy faculty to accomplish their goals. Applications for the next cohort are open from 1 April until 30 June 2018. Nurse Educator Mentorship Program (NEMP)  NEW This unique, comprehensive online course helps schools of nursing engage in a systematic process to guide the development of a mentorship program that is evidenceinformed and responsive to the needs of faculty members within their specific academic settings. It is designed to enable schools of nursing to develop, implement, evaluate, and sustain a mentorship program that meets their needs and reflects their values, style, and culture.
