The project aims to design a office and dwelling complex tower which could serve for both working and living. By using the constructional language, the Frost tower aims to emphasis a transition from the ground historical architecture to the upper Melbourne skyline which is the modern glazing facade. The concrete window shading gradually disappear when it getting higher to express the new growth of Melbourne from history to future.

Universal beam applied with diagonally cut to support the galvanized perforated metal stair.
Vertical sliding track fixed on the outer layer of the primary structure. It is applied with the unit of 3 meters and could be added on and taken off depend on requirement.
Moisture sensitive material applied on the enclosure to prevent weathering. Depend on different requirement, the amount of enclosure units could be added or deleted.
Hydraulic material bank lift applied for material storage. People could rent material from the first floor.
Timber decking covering on top of the joists. Here is the entrance where people could sell the agricultural stuff here.
Pulley system applied with smaller platforms for storing goods and agricultural stuffs prepared to sell and exchange.
Bicycle parking applied on both side on the north east corner.
Timber joist structure applied on the ground floor to lift the ground level above the ground to reduce the impact of landscape.
Hydraulic car lift applied with 8 places which could deliver cars horizontally and vertically.
Following the primary structure, water distributed to each detached clusters.

Ecotone is the interactive balance of communities Co-living. One community change, the Ecotone transforms into a new adaptive form. As a project that aims to transcend the constraints of intensive residential architecture, intrinsically limited spatial atmospheres, and scope of change, this project seeks to use an ecological perspective to explain the possibility of future residential architecture.

1. Parametric flexible scale design
Via iso-surface grasshopper control trigger, the project aims to generate a flexible scale design that could change its meaning from the pavilion to industrial design. On the pavilion scale, it seeks to celebrate the interaction between visitors and weather. Here the sound impact scaled up via the porosity vacancy. The small scale of the industrial design celebrates the function of the pen holder, ringer holder, and egg holder. The base surface represented as curved tendency could be regarded as a natural representation like the karst cave structure. The spiral boolean geometry could be regarded as the symbol of a human with a shape similar to the drill carriage head. The crash between them represents a concept of leading people to get connected with nature and rethinking the relation with nature.
This kind of curved surface could lead water flowing down to become stream or little falling water.
Larger geometry could create a large gathering space with an opening to the outside. In contrast, small geometry could create more private space for people to a short stay.
Because a grid number of voids are created inside the cube, and the near enclosure and tunnel could increase the decibel of voice.

2. Construction detailed model
Based on an art school in the south bank, the model aims to show all the detail construction process in a sectional physical model. By using card board, foam, steel wire, foil, plastic board, the construction details are represented as 1:50 scale.
Isosurface of Milipede command is used here as the fundamental cube which would boolean difference with other more logical geometry groups later.
