Phone Booth 2.0

The Phone Booth is a silent microcosm for phone calls or moments of focus and concentration. A versatile and comfortable element perfect for situations where a little privacy is needed to make a phone call without being disturbed by the surrounding noise, but also without disturbing those nearby.

Its finishes can be customized with fabric, melamine and lacquered solutions. A cozy and comfortable element, the result of the new way of conceiving the work space, which fits well into any setting: a pleasant element through and through, for aesthetics and acoustics.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Ceiling

Ventilation system and LED lighting are mounted in the ceiling. Both are activated automatically by a motion sensor.

Glass module

The glass module, straight or curved, is a 8mm thick single-panel tempered clear glass. Each module has a nontransparent black screen printing on the edge for better aesthetic yield. All the configurations must include an easily removable solid internal technical panel to accommodate electrical wiring.

Solid module

The solid module can be straight or curved, and consists of a double plywood panel upholstered in technical fabric with high sound absorption features, whose internal and external finish can vary. Mineral wool inside the double panel improves sound insulation. The external panels are also available in lacquered surface; the melamine solution is only available for the straight-line model.

Hinged door

Door with 10mm clear tempered framed and hinged glass leaf, with vertical sliding feature for better sound insulation. Standard opening is on the right, with outward swing and lockless handle.

Floor

The Phone Booth version is provided with its own floor made of a shaped sheet metal finished on the upper part with a fire-proof squared carpet. Noise passage between structure and floor is reduced with a PVC co-extruded gasket.

ELECTRIFICATION

Electrification

The electrification scheme has been studied to be universal and so valid all over the world. All the accessories work at 24 V cancelling the electric risk because the 220V short path (from the socket to the driver) is secured by insulated protections.

Inside, 2 socket boxes can be positioned in the solid module.

Lighting

Lighting is provided by one LED bar, 17Watts/Mt, warm white light 3000°K, 1480Lumen/Mt, 24V DC, supplied with a driver mounted above the ceiling.

PIR

The «PIR» -Passive Infrared Sensor controls lighting and internal ventilation, and maintains all supplies active, as soon as it detects users inside; when no presence is detected, after a short time (about 6 mins), sensor deactivates lighting and ventilation, saving energy.

VENTILATION

Air exchange is guaranteed by intake through a 24V forced ventilation system with flow of 50 cubic meters/h. The internal conformation of the ventilation system works like an acoustic trap preventing an acoustic passage between inside and outside of the Phone Booth.

The system allows a complete air recycling every 3 minutes. An air sanitization kit is available on request.

ACOUSTICS

The acoustic tests have been done positioning the sound emitter in the internal middle part of the Phone Booth while the receiving microphone has been positioned outside the Phone Booth in different positions, both on the sides and above, at a distance of 2 linear meters.

Collaborative Room 2.0

The Collaborative Room was born of the idea of creating interior open spaces that embody the contemporary office, a welcoming space dedicated to privacy, acoustic comfort, concentration and collaboration. The large windows allow light to pass through so that inside and outside remain seamlessly connected. At the same time, the use of solid modules and glass engender well defined and pleasant acoustics: the ideal place for a phone call, a conversation or a meeting, without being disturbed and without disturbing those outside.

This space within a space can host different functions: serve as meeting and waiting room, operational or managerial station, niche for printers and other support equipment, video conference room, and even become a break and refreshment area in its more spacious versions. The structure is modular and can be accessorized inside, in a flexible way, as warranted by circumstances.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Ceiling

It is provided with a 24V low voltage controlled mechanical ventilation (VMC) including a management software that defines the recycling and the filtering of the internal air or arranges the air exchange both in supply and in return from the surrounding environment. The ceiling is composed of a structure with aluminum beam where the sandwich load-bearing panels with interposed soundinsulating material are attached. The internal ceiling is made of wooden frames with panels in 30 mm thick polyester with high sound-absorbing performance; the internal exposed upholstery of the panels is made in white fabric ref. 999. As option an internal soundabsorbing ceiling in microperforared sheet metal is available: for feasibility and quotes, please contact the sales department.

Internal height 220 cm (865/8”) – External height about 240 cm (941/2”).

Glass module

The glass module, straight or curved, is a 8mm thick single-pane tempered clear glass. Each module has a nontransparent black screen printing on the edge for better aesthetic yield. All the confi-gurations must include an easily removable solid internal technical panel to accommodate electrical wiring.

Solid module

structure in extruded and/or die-cast aluminium, with visible elements in powder coated finish, provided with adjustable feet. Straight or curved module, double plywood panel (external+ internal), upholstered with Smart Office textile (cat.F: Fenice, Medley, One, Chili; cat. G: Disco; cat. L: Revive, Picto). Internal and external textiles can be different (use of leather, eco-leather or velvet is not possible). External panels are also available in sablé lacquered and in melamine only for the straight version.

For sound-absorbing solid straight modules in micro perforated metal sheet, please contact your commercial liaison for feasibility study and quotation. In all compositions a technical panel (internal, upholstered) is provided, easily removable, for all necessary electrical connections.

Hinged door

Hinged door type. Possibility to have or sigle glazed framed door or single glazed frameless door only with drop-down seal.

VENTILATION

Controlled mechanical ventilation (VMC). The 24V low voltage VMC machine is provided with a management software connected to some sensors which evaluate the quality of the air inside the Collaborative Room. According to the result given by the sensors, the management software can arrange the machine to do the following:

-recycling and filtering of the internal air; -supply/return of the air from the surrounding environment

The VMC system with its pipes is installed above the ceiling of the Collaborative Room and it is concealed by a dark colour PVC cover having both an aesthetic and sound proofing functions. Inside the room, the supply/return of the air is made through grids installed in the ceiling. The ventilation system has a max. flow rate of 255 cu.m./h.

An air sanitization kit is available on request.

ACOUSTICS

The frame of the Collaborative Room consists of solid plywood paneling, covered in technical fabric with high sound absorption features, and tempered glass modules that guarantee a high degree of acoustic insulation from the external environment, up to 36 dB.

The configuration can be extended into Duo+ with two units and Duo++ with three units to provide a more formal meeting venue for up to 8 people. The space can be used as a meeting room, a media room, an exercise space or a resting area. Kolo Duo is adaptable to any open-plan workspace.

Custom designed UV-C light powered by Philips TUV PL-L 36W that delivers 99.9% sterilisation rate in 5 minutes. This add-on accessory can be retrofitted into all Kolo models to offer a safe and clean work environment. The disinfection cycle offers three time-intervals to choose from: 5, 10 and 15 minutes. There is a one-minute buffer time after a cycle is selected until the UV-C light is activated. Please be sure to stay out of the booth during the disinfection cycle or while the UV-C light is activated.

They use Creatif’s ultra-effective acoustic panels to soak up unwanted background noise and to keep conversations inside the Cube whisper-quiet.

Large Cubes come as standard with seat units, table, acoustic panels and integral power outlet; small Cubes come as standard with worktop, acoustic panels and integral power outlet. The sturdy construction is designed for speed of install and ease of reconfiguration. All components are 100% recyclable.

We use fabrics that have been woven all across Europe. But where we can, we prefer to source as locally as possible. One of our main suppliers weaves most of their fabric in Yorkshire – whose mills, at their peak, were the finest in the world. Although the mills may not be there anymore, the quality and care for the process still exists.
