Leonore, de Brusselse band rond zangeres Chloë Nols, speelt muziek die stilletjes overgaat van licht naar donker. Billie Rodney is het pseudoniem van de Antwerpse zangeres Bie Van Landeghem. NL Beeld en geluid verkennen elkaar bij Duo à l’Encre, de kruisbestuiving tussen jazzdrummer Teun Verbruggen en graffitiartiest Vincent Glowinski aka BONOM. Die laatste is wereldberoemd in Brussel en ver daarbuiten met zijn zwart- wittekeningen van skeletten en dieren, Verbruggen is al jaren een vaste waarde in de Belgische jazzscene en werkte samen met Jef Neve, Mauro Pawlowski, … Via improvisatie versterken beide artiesten elkaars werk.

SOUND EN Ben Vida is an American sound artist who investigates auditive illusions and bizarre acoustic phenomena. Reducing the Tempo to Zero is an ongoing performance between an installation and a concert. Ben Vida uses electronics and local vocalists are spread out throughout the space, using their voices as a percussive instrument. The audience can walk in and out and experience the performance sitting, lying down or walking, while slowly losing sense of space and time.

EN Sweden’s Peder Mannerfelt has collaborated with Fever Ray, Blonde Redhead and Glasser, and plays his very first Belgian live set at STUK. African percussion meets European colonialism on the tones of coldwave and techno. Andrew Pekler makes use of found materials and instruments to create a blend of synthetic exotica, pseudo-ethnographic music and unreal field recordings.

EN Cher Ami is Yuko’s fourth album, presented live with a performance based on an animation film about three iconic animals that fought during the First World War. EN Niet drummen is a music theatre performance filled with catchy rhythmical music and amazing figure play. Marbles, spheres, balls, drums, water, … A magical journey through a remarkable decor. A silhouette artist, a flute and sax player and a percussionist take you on a discovery of sounds, music and rhythms. Young and old enjoy a visual concert. Rock ‘n’ roll and poetry.

EN You hear a comic book put to music, take part in elegantly mixing different composers and get to listen to wonderful folk songs. The immortal, hyper- talented, maniacal singer Cathy Berberian guides you through the history of music and the story of the mythical composer Luciano Berio, pushes some musical boundaries and shows that the music world is a powder keg of creative possibilities.
