Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting two candidate forums in Sturgis for those offices requiring a primary election. The first will be held on Thursday, May 15th and the candidates for State Legislature District 29 have been invited to participate. The second forum will be Tuesday, May 20th and candidates for Meade County Auditor, Meade County Register of Deeds, and Meade County Sheriff have been invited to participate. Both forums will begin at 7:00 PM and will be held in the Commissioners Room in the Erskine Building (1300 Sherman Street, Sturgis). Each candidate will have the opportunity to address the audience followed by a question and answer period. The forums allow the candidates an opportunity to voice their platform and allows voters a chance to find out their position on specific concerns. # # #
