Indian Motorcycle Comes Home A brand already deeply rooted in Sturgis history is coming home. Indian Motorcycle Sturgis will open this month at 2106 Lazelle Street in the building that formerly housed Compe on Distribu ng. The flagship dealership will employ 10‐12 full‐ me staff offering sales and service year‐around. The Indian brand, owned by Polaris Industries of Medina, MN, made a statement during last year’s Rally™ by revealing their 2014 models at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum. The success of that event and the welcome they received by the Sturgis community encouraged the corpora on to consider the town for a dealership. The City of Sturgis and Sturgis Economic Development, Corp (SEDC) worked with the company to help bring it to frui on.
Indian Motorcycle Sturgis is owned by Vern Eide Motor‐ cars, Inc. of Sioux Falls, SD. They also own Vern Eide Motoplex of Sioux Falls which offers a large array of pop‐ 2014 Indian Reveal at the Sturgis ular brand name Motorcycle Museum during the 2013 Sturgis Motorcycle® Rally™. new and used motorcycles.
