Bluebird Care Rochdale celebrates three successful years
On Bluebird Care Rochdale's third anniversary, Director John Keogh explains why the company continues to go from strength to strength:
"I cannot believe it has been three years already. So much has happened in that time. Registration, our first care assistant, first customer, office break ins and ceiling collapses, video calls with the Mayor and presentations, an office move, not to mention the obvious over the last 18 months or so.

"After thousands of hours, hundreds of customers and scores of care assistants, I am so inspired everyday by our team to constantly strive for improvement.
"I considered myself a pretty empathetic individual when we started, but I would hope my emotional intelligence is so much deeper and wider now. I am humbled by our team. They deliver so much more than the tasks put in front of them. They have delivered a touch point during times of unprecedented isolation."
"We are independently rated the best locally and have been for some time. Of that I am rightly proud but we can always do that little bit better. We have come a long way, but there is still plenty of places we want to go. We are so grateful to everyone that has been part of the journey so far."
Todd Neilson, Head Coach at Rochdale AFC Ladies recently met Bluebird Care customer Steven and care assistant Dreu, presenting Dreu with a card and flowers for her outstanding efforts over the last couple of years. Dreu is leaving Bluebird Care Rochdale to pursue her studies in nursing after delivering hundreds of hours of Care across her hometown of Heywood.
Dreu commented: "I have worked for Bluebird Care for just under two years now; it has been amazing for me in building my confidence and getting my foot in the health and social care sector. It has also shown me that helping others is what I want to do as a career and my dream is to become a nurse."
John Keogh commented: "Dreu has every attribute needed in Care and her own confidence has grown immeasurably since she started. She said she would never have had the confidence to pursue a nursing career had she not worked in this role. We wish Dreu all the very best; she will be missed by all and will always be welcomed back. We absolutely champion such people to develop themselves to go on and make the very best of themselves whilst delivering exceptional service to people across our community."

Bluebird Care Rochdale is always looking for kind, compassionate, reliable, dedicated individuals to join its amazing team. In return, the company offer full training, a friendly, supportive working environment and an extremely fulfilling role making a difference to people's lives. Here's what some of Bluebird Care Rochdale's current team members have to say about their roles...
"I'm Georgia and I've recently returned to Bluebird Care Rochdale after maternity leave. I have worked here for over two years and have been given opportunities to support the business wider than the delivery of Care. Whilst I will still carry out visits in support of customers, I have been given the key role of recruitment for the company. It is a great opportunity for me to showcase additional skills and talents and assist the company to grow our team."

"My name is Mobeen and this is a picture of me receiving carer of the month even though I only came to the company in August last year with my sister. I have not previously worked in care before but the support we are given from the online training and office is second to none. I really love my job and am really grateful for the opportunity."

"Hi, I'm Claire and have been working for Bluebird Care since December 2020. This is a picture of me receiving the Carer of the Month award from Heywood and Middleton MP, Chris Clarkson. Having not previously worked in the sector before I am very grateful for the opportunity that Bluebird Care has given me and the support they give to all our team. I really love my job as I know it makes such a difference and have been actively encouraged to attain formal vocational qualifications with the company."

"My name is Shabana and I have been working for Bluebird Care Rochdale since March 2019. I have been awarded Carer of the Month previously and been given bonuses during the pandemic. I have been encouraged to develop myself and undertake vocational training through the local training provider."
