STEPH & JANET GROWING FOR SPRINGHILL

Springhill Hospice's Head gardener Michelle was delighted to welcome the wonderful Steph and Janet from The Bridge Centre to the hospice recently for a full garden tour.

Steph is the green-fingered volunteer who works tirelessly on creating stock for the annual plant sale held in June, with all proceeds going to Springhill Hospice. This year it was coupled with an indoor car tabletop sale organised by centre manager Janet, and combined, their fundraising raised an amazing £2258.31. The Hospice team would like to say a huge thanks to Steph, Janet and all the team at the Bridge Centre for such fantastic fundraising and support!

SPRINGHILL'S NEW DEMENTIA GARDEN

In June, Springhill Hospice was incredibly proud to launch its brand new, fantastic Dementia Garden - created specifically for patients with dementia, in order for them to enjoy an outside space that suits their specific needs. With sensory areas, kinetic sand, and specially selected plants to entice all the senses, the launch of the garden was a huge success; with patients and loved ones getting to make the most of the new space in the sunshine.

LIGHT UP A LIFE

During Springhill’s Light up a Life campaign in December, the Hospice trees will shine brightly with hundreds of lights, each in memory of those we love.

With a donation to Light up a Life, you will receive a personalised card displaying the name of your loved one, and you will also have the opportunity to personalise a Light up a Life star that can be hung on your Christmas Tree at home, or the Christmas Trees at Springhill Hospice.

All dedications will appear in our Book of Lights which will be displayed at the services and virtually on the Hospice website.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

Springhill are so excited to be able to welcome back their much loved Christmas Fair on Sunday 26th November, 1-3pm at Kingsway Park High School.

You will be able to browse stalls selling everything from cards to candles, baubles to chocolates and jewellery to jigsaws. Scrumptious festive food and drinks will also be available.

The Fair will showcase all Springhill’s well known favourites including Santa’s Grotto, plus new stalls, all offering Christmas gifts galore; tombolas, crafts, raffles, games and toys.
