We are the largest RYA training centre in the world and run all our activity from our all-inclusive residential waterfront base in Cowes. We offer over 100 industry-leading courses to ensure all your learning needs are catered for. If you want to get started on the water, improve your existing skills, or gain RYA qualifications, UKSA has a training course for you. Everyone is welcome at UKSA! From children taking their first trip out, to adults learning a new skill.
We’ve been instructing yachting, sailing and watersports for over 30 years. Our situation on the River Medina is perfect for beginners and, with easy access to the Solent, intermediate and advanced learners can really stretch themselves. We know the best spots for windsurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking and our minibuses are ready to take you there!
If you’re looking to keep the kids entertained over the school holidays, UKSA’s fun-filled, on-the-water holiday clubs could be your answer. Offering multi-activity camps, fun days and RYA-accredited dinghy sailing, there is something for all. Programmes are available for children aged 6+. UKSA also offers a huge variety of leisure and recreational courses. RYA qualifications are delivered by expert instructors and include practical yachting, shore-based, dinghy and powerboat courses.
As an RYA Centre of Excellence, UKSA offers a full range of professional maritime training that launches long-term careers in a growing industry. UKSA’s fully-funded, 2 year practical Further Education courses are a great alternative to post-secondary education. They are designed specifically for students who want to embark on exciting and rewarding careers in watersports instruction or yacht training.
For those aged 18+ we provide an outstanding alternative to university. A career in yachting, superyachting, hospitality or watersports instruction can give you a well-paid, long-term career that promises global travel, an enviable lifestyle and little debt.
