SUBU: We Are Freshers 2020

Page 1

WELCOME TO BOURNEMOUTH FROM YOUR FULL-TIME OFFICERS Welcome to Freshers’ 2020! Starting university is an exciting time, and something we can still clearly remember! As a BU student you are now a member of the Students’ Union at Bournemouth University and we can’t wait to meet you and share all we have to offer. In the meantime, take some time to read your Welcome Pack, it has tons of ideas for all the great activities, societies and events you can enjoy to ensure your time at BU is really rewarding. Our priority as elected officers of your Students’ Union is to ensure fairness for all, and that your voice is heard - both within the Union

and the University. There is more detail in this guide and at wearefreshers.com about the various ways we help make that happen, from becoming an elected officer, collecting feedback as a Student Rep, joining our Liberation Groups, submitting an idea to become SUBU policy and more. We hope you have an amazing time at Bournemouth University, and we do hope to see you soon here at your Students’ Union!
