AN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur - Illegal loggers were caught felling natural grown falcatta trees, which also damaged premium residual tree species inside the Magdiwata watershed here on Monday. A joint team of forest rangers from San Francisco Water District (SFWD) and Community Environment and Natural Resources Office swooped down some nine illegal tree cutters felling the trees with chainsaws inside the presidentially-proclaimed watershed. Initial scaling of the illegal logs classified as export quality were estimated at 16 cubic meters

that would commercially worth at P140,000 but this would cost more if the damaged residual trees hit by the bigger felled falcatta trees will be included.
