Robbers cart away P68,716 products from truck CAMP RAFAEL RODRIGUEZ, Libertad, Butuan City – A container truck was ransacked in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur – some P68,716 was then lost. The incident took place while the truck was parked inside Gravia Sur Distributor Inc. compound in Barangay Hubang said town. Gravia was managed by Judith Moreno Finlac, while the truck driver was identified by the police as Dumito Lamaso Almaria, 34 years old, widower and a resident of Barangay Kulit, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. Tribesmen receive P10M, lift barricade vs mining firm

URIGAO CITY - Members of the Mamanwa tribe have lifted their barricade against the Adnama Mining Resources Inc. (AMRI) after they were paid P10 million in royalty fees.

Datu Reynante Buklas, one of the Mamanwa chieftains, said they lifted the blockade at the mine site of AMRI in Barangay Urbiztondo, Claver town in Surigao del Norte after they got their initial royalty payment from the company. AMRI is extracting nickel ore within the 48,679-hectare

ancestral domain of the Mamanwas. The company ships the deposit to China. Buklas said they set up last June 15 the barricade at the mining site, paralyzing the operations of the company, for nonpayment of royalties due to them. In a text message, HARVEST FROM THE SEA. Villar Foundation extends help to sex-for-flight victims - The Villar Foundation, through its managing director, Senator-elect Cynthia Villar, personally handed the sari-sari store showcase to the three Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who were victims of sex-for-flight.
