DavSur guv vows to address poverty DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur-- Addressing poverty in the province is the core thrust of newly-installed Governor Claude Bautista who vowed to take up programs that will benefit all sectors in Davao del Sur. Bautista has assured that all sectors from the agriculture, fisherfolks, farmers and tricycle drivers will benefit from programs such as livelihood projects that will alleviate poverty. On education, he promised full scholarship grants for all qualified students from the low-income sector. “Starting today, there will be no Cagas, no Bautista scholars. All (students) from across Davao del Sur will be covered,” Bautista said in the vernacular, giving further assurance to the scholars of the previous administration of Governor Douglas Cagas and First District Representative Marc Douglas Cagas IV, about their scholarship.
