JV Estrada lauds launching of Lanao Norte scholarship grant VOL. 2, No. 234

TUBOD, Lanao del NorteSenatorial candidate Joseph Victor Ejercito Estrada of United Nationalists Alliance lauded the relentless efforts of Lanao del Norte provincial Governor Mohammad Khalid Q. Dimaporo in launching the scholarship grants for young Christians and Muslims aimed at building a a sustainable education program for the poor but deserving students in the province. Based on official data, the province of Lanao del Norte has 1,700 scholarship grantees for the first and second congressional districts. Estrada said "ang tunay na hakbang para ma i angat sa kahirapan ay dapat may isang college graduate upang maka pag trabaho sa bawat pamilya.” Further, Estrada said, he will continue to support the

provincial government in pursuing better education for the youth. Estrada gained commitment of support for this coming May 2013 Elections. The youth sector wanted JVEE to be number one in May 2013 elections. During last Saturday’s visit here, thousands of youth flashed "Like Ko Yon" signs as symbol of JV victory this coming elections.. Estrada cited also the significant socio-economic contributions of Muslim traders from Lanao provinces who now have business establishments in his city of San Juan . Estrada said during early years of his leadership San Juan had P300 million of generated income, but with the help of Muslim and Christian traders San Juan's estimated revenue income now stands at P1.1 billion.
