P88 WAGE INCREASE – Lady Unionist Marife Badato (extreme right) augments the petition filed by the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) for an P88 daily across-the-board wage increase for non-agri workers in Region 10. This, by explaining that the current P386 minimum wage adopted since January 2012, could only generate a buying power of P200.85 even as it simply entitles the wage earner an actual take home pay of P178.97 after SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth and tax deductions. The petition was filed on April 15, this year, with the RTWPB-10 by TUCP Partylist Rep. Raymund Mendoza (2nd from left), with representatives from ALU and AWATU. Also in photo are President Amor Sanchez of CEPALCO Employees Labor Union (left) and National President Temestocles Dejon of AWATU-TUCP (2nd from right).
