AGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A 60-year old farmer organizer has been ‘abducted’ on her way to the eastern part of Misamis Oriental from the Makabayan partylist coalition headquarters in Barangay Camamanan, this city, morning of April 27, this year. According to Richard Colao, secretary general of

the Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP-NorMin), Estelita T. Tacalan, widow and a mother of three, earlier had a meeting on electoral concerns at the Makabayan headquarters. “Following that meeting, she was supposedly on her way to the eastern part of Misamis Oriental to plan out for the Labor Day celebration

with her colleagues when her mobile phones went unreachable,” Colao related. Makabayan is a coalition of progressive partylist groups fielding candidates for various government positions in the May 13 elections.
