AGAYAN de Oro City – Ang pangatake sa NPA diha sa Del Monte Philippines, Inc. (DMPI) Camp Philips, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon kaniadtong usang hapon, giisip sa New People’s Army (NPA) nga mensahe ug pahimangno batok sa maong kompaniya.
Ang mensahe : “Undangon na sa DMPI ang iyahang operasyon,” matud ni George Madlos, alyas Ka Oris, tigpamaba sa NPA dinhing bahina sa Mindanao. “Ang logging operations maoy nag-upaw sa kalasangan, pero gipagrabe pa gayud kini sa plantasyon sa pinya sa Bukidnon nga maoy tinubdan sa katubigan paingon sa Cagayan de Oro River,” pulong ni Ka Oris. “Golf for a Cause” breaks Pueblo attendance records
The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro’s “Golf for a Cause” drew a 276 registered players over its four-day period last Feb. 14-17, 2013 breaking club records for attendance of a single tournament at the Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club. “We wish to acknowledge the efforts of club members and the support of our sponsors in helping us achieve this milestone,” said PP Caloy Gorospe, project chairman. “Most of all, we wish to acknowledge the response of the participants to our invitation. Your demonstration of your civic duty for the Sendong victims has encouraged us to redouble our
efforts to help our unfortunate fellow Kagay-anon who suffered the fury of Sendong.” In particular, PP Caloy Gorospe cited the efforts of some club members which were crucial to the success of the project including PVP Hong C. DMPI relates NPA attack
CAGAYAN de Oro City – It all started at around 6:00 in the evening of February 19 when some 100 heavily armed men, belonging to the New People’s Army (NPA), struck on the plantation office of Del Monte Philippines, Inc. (DMPI) at Camp Philips, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. Included in the attack was the company truck yard where three units of heavy equipment and a
personnel bus were burned by the rebels. In a press statement, DMPI said the attack began with an attempt by rebels to rob a Caltex gas station along Damilag road. The PNP responded swiftly, but an exchange of gunfire followed. It further said, the rebels further attempted to torch field equipment parked at Del Monte’s dmpi /P5
