AMBONGA CITY – An improvised explosive went off Tuesday in Lamitan City in Basilan killing one person who police said could be the bomb carrier himself.
Lamitan City Vice Mayor Roderick Furigay said over the phone that the lone fatality remained unidentified citing the man was not carrying any identification papers. Furigay said the suspected bomb carrier was driving a motorcycle when the bomb, which was placed in a bag the latter was carrying, exploded 3:40 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Balagtasan, Lamitan City. SouthCot town gets P30M for tourism
