CH loses P120m due to ‘lost bank account’ CIT Y Ha l l mig ht have incurred potential losses amounting to more than P 120.6 million due to alleged financial mismanagement and lost bank accounts incurred by the previous administration, the Commissions on Audit (COA) here on Tuesday said. “The accuracy and correctness of general ledger Cash-in-Bank, Local Currency, Current & Savings Accounts and Time Deposits amounting P1, 196.198 million as of December 31, 2012 could not be easily ascertained in the absence of Bank Reconciliation Statements Reports (BRS),” the COA’s state auditors noted. COA ‘s verification disclosed that the period of the latest BRS submitted for verification were August, 2012 for General Fund (GF) and Special Education Fund (SEF) and April for the Trust Fund (TF). Auditors said per Bank confirmation City Hall has P 1,075,584,349.52 while on per Book it has P 1,196,198,345.29. HE 600 television lines Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTVs) had been installed in the vicinity of the Hall of Justice in Cagayan de Oro City for the protection of court personnel and clients, Regional State Prosecutor Jaime L. Umpa said on Tuesday.

Umpa said that the installation of the CCTVs started last Monday as part of the preventive measures for the Hall of Justice building especially in and outside the halls of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office where“high profile” cases are usually heard. The equipment will monitor the prosecutors and staff of the hall in observing rules and regulations. One of these is the observance of the wearing of proper uniforms and identification cards, Umpa said. According to the technician, the CCTV has a system-quality high resolution which will give clear and good quality recordings, Umpa added. He said the equipment had night and day
