Welcome to today’s performance of Legally Blonde. It’s hard to believe that from a youth drama program that started as a way to fill those long summer days would grow into such a reputable and widely respected children’s theatre program, now enjoying its 31st season. Since 1981, more than 4,000 children have participated in St. Albert Children’s Theatre productions and much of its success can be attributed to the tireless staff, parents, Board members and dedicated volunteers for their commitment to cultivating a lifelong love of theatre arts in our youth. I am pleased to have such a wonderfully talented troop in the city, and encourage you to consider attending future productions and/or participate in performing arts programming offered through the city that many SACT alumni members now teach. I believe that encouraging our children to participate in activities such as this leads to a growth in confidence and development skills that will serve them well in all that they do. Enjoy the show!

Jackie and I saw this show together two years ago.

Afterwards we looked at each other and said “we have to do this production!” This show is so smart – on the outside it is energetic, non-stop sugary fun. But underneath all that there actually lies a lot of heart and substance. Elle Woods runs off to Harvard Law School in hopes of finding her ex-boyfriend Warner Huntington III and their relationship that had been lost. Instead she ends up finding herself. The message is simple; don’t judge a book by its cover. Stay true to your self and never limit yourself to other people’s expectations of you. Hooray for girl power!! What a blast we have had putting this show together! Thank you so much to our incredible team. I am so blessed to work with such wonderful and talented people. Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy holiday season, Janice Flower Artistic Director, St. Albert Children’s Theatre

“Omigod You Guys!”

It’s the 2012 St. Albert Children’s Theatre’s production of Legally Blonde the Musical. The Friends of St. Albert Children’s Theatre Society are very pleased to welcome you to this winter production. The mission of the St. Albert Children’s Theatre is to support the promotion, education and exploration of theatre arts for youth and its contribution to community leadership. We work collaboratively with the City of St. Albert to enable young artists an opportunity to experience the many extraordinary and professional opportunities that involvement in a theatre company provides. The Friends of St. Albert Children’s Theatre are a team of community volunteers who support St. Albert Children’s Theatre through fundraising activities, which help offset production costs and pay for the rental of rehearsal space for our talented cast. The teamwork, enthusiasm and dedication of the directors, staff, technicians, Arden volunteers, parents and performers together create an incredible and memorable production. The society offers a sincere thank you to all these amazing individuals. We would also like to thank all of you for your continued support of this program. Your support makes each of these wonderful theatre productions possible. We invite you to sit back and enjoy how being true to yourself never goes out of style.
