1) Clip # 1- 51 There are many different kinds of rape and the commons ones are firstly acquaintance rape. This is when the victim and the rapist know each other from social encounters for e.g. raped by a friend. Secondly spousal rape, wife or husband rape between a married couple or a couple who have not yet married. Lastly minor rape when a child is raped by an adult this can be anything from a parent or a close relative. 2) Clip # 1_13 1 In 5 women in England and wales have been a victim of a sexual offence or attempted offence. 3) Clip # 1_15 4.6% of females or approximately 1 in 20 said that there has been a victim of rape or alternative rape since the age of 16. Decreasing slightly to 3.8% when attempted rape is excluded. 4) Clip # 1_64 In January 2013 the ministry of justice office of national data released its first joint bulletin on sexual violence in England and wales. 1 in 5 women aged between 16 and 60 has experienced some form of sexual violence in the UK alone. 5) Clip # 1_69 Female celebrities have been targets of sexual assault and rape most of them have been brave enough to step forth and share their story with others. 6) Clip # 1_75 Rita Hayworth this actress was repeatedly raped by her father who tortured and trained her as a dancer travelling the country when she was young. It wasn’t until adulthood, when she realised that incestuous relationship was not common between father and daughter.

Voice over Narration Script 7) Clip # 1_84 Teri Hatcher was raped by her uncle at just 5 years old in 2002 she testified against the man and he was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Not every woman is brave enough to speak out and send their rapist to prison but Teri will be a example for others. 8) Clip # 1_18 According to Nicky Morgan the minister for women and equalities has stated that women who have suffered from rape or assault will be offered expert advice and support the need to rebuild their lives. 9) Clip # 1_19 Morgan had also stated that the government is committed to build 15 new support centres across the country to help rape victims. 10) Clip # 1_21 Rape crisis centre offers a range of services for women and girls who have been raped or experienced other forms of sexual violence. 11) Clip # 1_24 The centre is not just for women in crisis many women contact them years after they have been raped or sexually abused. 12) Clip # 1_35 You can contact the national sexual violence helpline for open advice and you can find contact details for you’re nearest rape crisis centre.
