Our teachers and monitors are students who are currently studying at Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus. They share their culture and knowledge and direct all the camp activities under the careful supervision of a team of faculty from both Saint Louis University and Colegio San José. All classes taught by native speakers. Teachers give language classes between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to groups of three to ten students, organized according to age. The classes are interactive and focus on Hispanic culture and everyday Spanish. In the afternoon, various workshops take place. Students choose which workshops to attend based on their interests. Workshop topics vary from journalism to archery, from card games to drama and from international cuisine to photography. SLU – John Cook School of Business
Tues, July 16 – Sat, July 20 (Overnight)
The goal of the Sports Business Academy, offered in partnership by the John Cook School of Business and the St. Louis Cardinals major league baseball team, is to introduce high school juniors and seniors to the business of sports. Engaging in this new material, students work in teams to develop solutions to real-life sports business scenarios inspired by the experiences of area industry professionals. On the final day of the academy, teams compete for prizes and present their final projects to a panel of judges. Awards are then given to participants at the closing luncheon, which families are encouraged to attend. Students are fully immersed in campus life, staying four nights in a Saint Louis University residence hall and participating in fun activities on campus in addition to the academy curriculum.

SUMMER
College Credit Saint Louis University welcomes eligible high school juniors and seniors, as well as students from any college or university, to enroll in college-credit courses this summer. We offer hundreds of courses in a variety of subject areas. From History 112: Origins of the Modern World to Communication 120: Public Speaking, there’s bound to be a SLU course that will help you have a get-ahead summer. High school students who have completed their sophomore year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 system, may, with written recommendation and grade verification from their high school counselor or principal, enroll as a visiting student during the summer and be eligible to receive college credit. Approved high school students may register for introductory courses (100 or 200 level) for which they have the proper preparation and prerequisites. Students who are visiting from other colleges or universities may also apply. To take courses this summer, students must fill out the online Summer Visiting Undergraduate Application. For more information, visit summer.slu.edu.
Continuing Education In the Jesuit tradition, education at Saint Louis University does not end once a diploma is in hand. SLU alumni and community members are called to pursue lives of “continuing education,” whether in individual career fields, family experiences, community engagement and service, or academic studies and research. Saint Louis University is dedicated to providing such opportunities for continuing education, specifically in the classroom, lab and field settings. We offer full degree programs, short-term credit and non-credit certificates, and continuing education units. Courses range in length from one day to a full semester, and may include on-campus coursework, distance learning and hybrid technologies.
