Join your neighbors to clean up our Summerville streets with the first Summerville Clear and Beer. On May 15th, we will concentrate the blocks between Monte Sano Ave, Central Ave, Johns Road and Wrightsboro Road with special attention on Central Ave and the Post Office on Stovall Street. We will pick up trash, trim bushes, rake and edge. Meet at St. Mary’s Church parking lot at 10:00 am. Partridge Inn will provide breakfast to get us fueled up. Augusta Clean and Beautiful will provide gloves, vests and trashbags. Please bring your rakes, edgers, and garden shears. After working hard, you’ll have plenty of time to go home, get cleaned up and take an afternoon nap before the big ol’ fashioned barbeque picnic at Hickman Park. All Summerville residents are invited. Come on down to Hickman Park at 6:00 pm for an old fashioned barbeque and neighborhood fellowship. We plan on doing several clean-up/parties a year, each one focusing on a different area of Summerville. You can’t beat this offer. Give the neighborhood a few hours of hard work and get free meals, plus entertainment and fellowship for the whole family. For more information, call Erica Garner 736-8490 or email cgarner32@comcast.net.
