David Wylie travels to Inverness to visit Hitrak Ltd, which has invested in a 6t-class Eurocomach 65TR for various forestry and trailed building work in the Scottish Highlands
Mark Hedderwick, owner of Hitrak Ltd, has been building mountain bike trails since 2004, including parts of the prestigious world championship course at Fort William. Mark started off by building footpaths and car parks within a forestry setting, and in 2004 realised the potential for a tilt-rotator hitch for trail building. We rst visited Mark in 2013, building mountain bike trails with his then New Holland/Kobelco E135 and engcon tilt-rotator in the Carn Daimh Forest, on the Glenlivet estate near Tomintoul. Mark has a huge amount of experience on some very specialised machines, such as a Kaiser S12 Allroad spider excavator which was delivered just in time to start a new project
