Saint Michael’s Lutheran Church is active in local and global missions. Currently they are collecting items to create the disaster relief buckets that were recently highlighted in a Sun-Gazette article about clean up following the train derailment in Palestine, Ohio.
Serving a Traditional congregation, Ohev Sholom Synagogue was dedicated at its current location at Cherry Street and Belmont Avenue in Williamsport in 1951, although the roots of the synagogue in the city go back to its formation in the early 1900s. PROVIDED Nestled among the trees behind Saint Ann Catholic Church in Loyalsock is a unique way to pray The Stations of the Cross, outdoors. The stations are depictions of Christ from His condemnation to death through His crucifixion and burial. Most Roman Catholic churches have the stations depicted in some way inside their church for devotions, but these outdoor stations can be visited by pilgrims at any time. Devotions are prayed year round, particularly on the Fridays of Lent and Good Friday.
